Fa la la la FAIL
I was having a fabulous week of staying on track with my food and workouts. Killing my workouts at the gym like a BOSS.
but, this is the week where my body decides it wants to kill me. I’m craving chocolate, I’m cranky and my tummy and lower back hurrrrrtttt.
Fortunately I had a chocolate brownie Quest Bar to satiate my sweettooth. Quist bars are AMAZING.
and full of protein, yummmm!
thankfully ibuprofen exists, but my lower back still feels like it’s going to split in half. Awesome -.-
therefore,my workouts are sub par :(
And I’m bloated. So I have a lil bloat gut just poking out like I’m 5 months pregnant.
I just need this week to be over. My back is killing me.
Neat video on Metabolic Damage, good to know considering my recent plans and fitness goals for comp. prep!
My post from WordPress already went up before I could write this.
So some of my friends from Tumblr already know about my fitness endeavors, but one I haven’t really told anyone (partly because it was decided recently) is to compete in NPC Bikini.
I felt something like this would be awesome because I’d learn a lot of discipline, especially with the diet, get on a strict workout regimen (currently on a 5 day split) and focus more on how my body looks instead of lifting heavy.
I have always cared how it looked, but now I REALLY care. I mean, I honestly cared about squatting, benching, deadlifting as much as I could, and didn’t focus as much on how my body specifically looked. I’ve always carried weight on my midsection and I really want to challenge myself aesthetically now.
This is a whole different level of physically fit. My goal is to keep as much strength as possible, but SERIOUSLY lose inches and get that bikini bod. I mean, what girl doesn’t want an awesome bod, low body fat and awesome muscles? (okay, obviously not EVERY girl, but I’m speakin for myself right now and any girl who has similar goals)
So this is it. I do have a competition in mind that’s 20 weeks away. I’m acting as if I’m competing and will be entering, although not sure if I’ll have the finances for it. (because it CAN get expensive)
If I do, that’s awesomeee!
If not, at least I went through a prep, will learn the ins and outs, some do’s and dont’s, and enter the next one in my area that I can since I’ll have money saved for it!
So all in all, this is my official declaration (lol, what?) to my Tumblr friends & followers that I’ve switched gears from lifting heavy to NPC Bikini.
Can’t wait for my journey to unfold :)
WAIT!! You’re at the right website!! I know that this looks like something that you should stay away from, but I promise you that it is as clean as a whistle. I have to admit that when I start really dieting down and approach the final weeks of a competition, my biggest, nagging craving is…
Waking up with cramps
Not calf cramps, but HAMSTRING CRAMPS.
Whoa. I’ve woken up plenty of times to calf cramps. Waking up to hamstring tightening is just a whole new ball game.
So painful. Literally wake up with my teeth clenched. Eeeek.
Pass me da glutamine.
